Setting up a new ECE centre brings along a mix of excitement, dreams and expectations, and possibly some degree of overwhelm - it is, after all, a journey of many months from inception until the day that the doors swing open for business.

However, the owners of the brand new Learning Bee Montessori in Christchurch are looking back on that process and reporting minimal stress levels. The secret for them was working with Play’n’Learn to assist them in their setup process.

“Once you walk in you won’t want to leave” is how the team at Cottontails Childcare in Stanmore Bay on the Hibiscus Coast describe their workplace. The centre was set up by a group of five families who saw the need for an early childhood centre in their local community that reflected their values: where the natural environment and connection to local history was a priority, a place where busy parents could bring their children knowing that they would be able to explore, learn and make friends in a truly nurturing environment.
